Description

This is a sophisticated, earthy combination. The shift from the previous jewel tones to this Forest Green and Maroon palette suggests a more "Artisanal-Chic" vibe. The addition of Cotton Linen for the bottoms is a brilliant choice—it adds a crisp, breathable texture that contrasts beautifully with the sheen of the Green Cotton Silk.

Product Highlights

The Kurta: Use the 3 meters of Green Cotton Silk to create a Front-Open Kalidar. You can use small handmade maroon fabric buttons (Potli buttons) down the center to tie in the bottom color.

The Bottoms: Since it’s Cotton Linen, this fabric holds structure better than pure silk. Go for Straight Cigarette Pants or Box-Pleated Trousers. The 3 meters allow for a "Plus Size" comfort fit without the fabric pulling.

The Showstopper: Gajji Silk Dupatta

Since your dupatta features Lotus motifs (a symbol of purity) and a Tripal (triple-layer) motif border, your tailoring should reflect that traditional, hand-crafted feel.

Texture: Gajji silk is known for its buttery-smooth feel and high luster, making it the "gold standard" for traditional Indian ethnic wear.

The Zari Pallu: The Golden zari on the edges adds a formal touch, making this outfit suitable for weddings, festivals, or high-end evening events.

Wash & Care Guide

For the Cotton Silk (Top & Bottom)
First Wash: Dry Clean only for the first wash to "fix" the Deep Colors. This prevents the colors from bleeding into each other later.

Subsequent Washes: If you choose to hand wash, use a mild silk-approved detergent (like Ezee or Woolite) in cold water.

Drying: Never wring the fabric. Lay it flat on a towel in the shade. Direct sunlight will fade the Deep Colors rapidly.

Ironing: Iron on the reverse side while the fabric is slightly damp using the "Silk" setting.

Storage: Wrap the dupatta in a soft muslin cloth or a cotton dupatta bag. Avoid hanging it on a metal hanger as the weight of the silk can cause it to lose shape over time.

Gajji Silk (Pichwai Print)
Zari Protection: The Golden Zari on the Pallu can snag on jewelry. When storing, fold the dupatta so the Zari faces inward and is covered by the silk.

No Steam on Print: Avoid high-heat steam directly on the Pichwai print, as it can sometimes affect the crispness of the art motifs. Use a dry iron on a low setting.
